I, like many other slighlty insane in the brain bargain hunters, was standing in line Friday morning depsite the freezing cold, for hours; waiting for the oppoturnity to save a little money on something that will probably fall apart shortly after I use it once or twice. Then I’ll get the enjoyment of getting to go back to the store I bought it from, waiting in a line wth a bunch of other people who also bought defective products, and all so I can get store credit, which I can then use to buy even more defective products, only to have to return them and repeat the process all over again. Fun times. I find it amazing that despite it seeming like there were more people than ever out buying defective produts in the early morning hours, it turns out there were actually less people than usual. I guess more people got wise and decided it wasn’t worth it to go to extremes just to save a little green.
I have to say though, it actually wasn’t that bad waiting in line this year, mainly because I had someone hold my place in line while I walked a couple hundred feet away to a nice warm coffee shop. So while everyone else was out freezing in line, I was sitting comfortably indoors, sipping my hot cocoa and watching The Godfather marathon on TV. Who says you can’t get what you want and have fun getting it too?
